The app is designed for normal use without creating a Homestead Keeper web account.
Your working homestead records are stored on your Apple devices.
If enabled, Apple iCloud syncs app data across your Apple devices using your Apple ID.
Homestead Keeper is not designed around selling user data or building advertising profiles.
If you contact support, we use the information you provide to answer and troubleshoot.
Exports, reports, backups, and shared files are controlled by you.
Plain language
Homestead Keeper does not require a Homestead Keeper login for normal app use. Your working records live on your Apple devices. If you enable iCloud sync, Apple syncs your app data between your iPhone, iPad, and Mac using your Apple ID.
Homestead Keeper does not operate a separate cloud dashboard where you sign in to manage your homestead records.
Before deleting the app, wiping a device, replacing hardware, or changing Apple IDs, make sure your records are synced, backed up, or exported in a way that matches your app version and plan.
App data
The app can contain the records you choose to create. Most day-to-day records are designed to stay on your devices unless you enable Apple sync, export a file, share a report, or contact support.
| Category | Examples | Where it goes |
|---|---|---|
| Homestead records | Animals, plants, gardens, orchards, equipment, places, inventory, pantry, calendar items, reminders, notes, reports, production, harvest, breeding, maintenance, and related records you enter in the app. | Stored locally on your Apple devices. If iCloud sync is enabled, Apple may sync this data through iCloud for your Apple ID. |
| Photos, documents, and attachments | Images, documents, receipts, manuals, labels, or other files you choose to attach where supported by your app version. | Stored with app data on your device and, if enabled, synced by Apple iCloud. |
| Imports, exports, reports, and backups | CSV/PDF exports, backup files, imported files, QR labels, and reports you create or select. | Created, stored, shared, deleted, or backed up by you using the app, device, and services you choose. |
| Purchase status | Information needed to unlock paid features, restore purchases, or confirm subscription/lifetime access. | Handled through Apple App Store systems. Homestead Keeper does not receive your full payment card details. |
Website and support
Support is optional. If you email support or use the website form, you choose what to send.
| Category | Examples | How it is used |
|---|---|---|
| Support form and email | Name, email address, topic, device/app details if provided, screenshots or files you choose to send, and the message content. | Used to respond to support requests, troubleshoot problems, and improve documentation or product quality. |
| Website hosting and basic logs | Standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, requested page, and time of request may be processed by hosting or security providers. | Used to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the website. |
How data is used
Homestead Keeper uses app data to show your records, reminders, calendar items, reports, exports, layouts, maps, and other app features. Purchase status is used to unlock paid features and restore purchases. Support messages are used to respond to your request, troubleshoot issues, and improve product documentation.
Homestead Keeper is not designed to sell personal data, run third-party advertising profiles, or require a Homestead Keeper account for normal app use.
Third parties
When you use Apple services, Apple handles that data under Apple's privacy terms and your Apple ID settings. When you submit a website support form, FormSubmit processes the message so it can be delivered to support.
Retention and deletion
Because Homestead Keeper is local-first, most app records are kept until you edit or delete them in the app, remove the app, delete local files, change iCloud settings, or delete related iCloud data through Apple.
Records stored in the app remain on your Apple devices and, if enabled, in iCloud until you delete them or manage them through your device and Apple account settings.
Files you export, share, print, email, save, or back up are controlled by you and by the apps or services where you place them.
Support emails and form submissions may be kept as long as needed to respond, troubleshoot, keep business records, and improve support. You can ask for support messages connected to your email address to be deleted.
Consent and requests
You can stop using optional iCloud sync through your Apple device and iCloud settings. You can delete app records in the app or manage app/iCloud data through Apple settings. You can also contact Homestead Keeper support to ask privacy questions or request deletion of support messages associated with your email address.

App Store privacy details
App Store Connect privacy answers should be kept consistent with this policy and with the exact app version being submitted.
Records that stay only on the user's device generally should be treated differently from data transmitted off the device. If iCloud sync is enabled, Apple is the sync provider.
If users send support emails, forms, screenshots, or files, disclose the data types that are collected for support.
If analytics, crash reporting, account features, or other services are added later, update both this policy and App Store Connect privacy details before publishing those changes.
Data safety
If a subscription lapses, existing data should remain visible and safe. Paid actions such as adding beyond the Free limit, exports, backups, imports, QR labels, and advanced tools require Pro again.
Homestead Keeper
Homestead Keeper gives you calm, practical records for animals, gardens, equipment, inventory, property systems, and seasonal work on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
